Piet Retief community to boast a 6.8 million Licensing Centre

No more traveling long hours for the community of Mkhondo Local Municipality and surrounding areas to access the licensing center.

The department of Community Safety and Security and Liaison has revealed that areas such as Ermelo and Elukwatini will now boas a 6, 8 million licensing center.

“Before the refurbishments, the only service rendered at the center were registration and renewal of vehicle licenses.

This comes after the completion of a Piet Retief Licensing Centre.

The center is already operational and the construction cost the Department an amount of R6, 8 million,” said the department’s spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi.

Mmusi added that the center comprises both the Vehicle Testing Station and Driving Licence Yard test.

The department’s MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Gabisile Shabalala is expected to officially open the center on Tuesday 07 July 2020.
