The South African National Parks (SANParks) has urged visitors intending to pre-book the parks to utilize the online platform, adding that walk-ins will not be allowed at the park.
This after the SANParks re-opened its doors for overnight visit for the first time in 5 months this past weekend.
The park’s spokesperson Ike Phaahla says the system has been experiencing some minor technical glitches however their technical team is currently monitoring the system to allow inflow.
“Our technicians are busy attempting to resolve the problem. We urge you to be patient as we address this challenge.”
Phaahla further advised the public to comply with the regulations put in place following the president’s announcement.
The President has announced that the country will be moving to level 2 of the lockdown, effective on Monday midnight easing the restrictions on inter-provincial travel, the unban of liquor, and tobacco among other things.

The past weekend the park started opening some of its accommodation for the majority of the parks across the country with strict protocols put in place.
The park further announced that it will be offering a 25% discount on accommodation at Skukuza Safari lodge for local travelers while there other discounted offers for international travelers.
